Poole Harbour Festival 2025
Talk about ‘on the doorstep’. I’m surprised I can’t hear the music from the house, but I can’t so the short walk to the harbour is required to be rewarded with a few days of this local festival.
Forever Now Festival
A new venture with some old legends of post punk. A rare visit to the bland National Bowl in Milton Keynes. Finally, I experience Kraftwerk.
Victorious Festival 2024 – my wander through it, from The Murder Capital to Biffy Clyro
My tenth visit to this diverse city festival by the Solent. Paced myself and didn’t race around too much – I’ve got to that age.
Poole Harbour Festival 2024
Sunshine, sea air, jet lag and a return to live music after a holiday.
Placebo – Southampton Summer Sessions
The Summer Sessions in Southampton. An outdoor gig in the middle of the city, in the most urban of locations. One of my favourite bands of recent decades playing – short trip. Gotta be done.
Paloma Faith live at Hampton Court
I used to live around these parts – never seen a band in Hampton Court Palace, so I thought I would pick this one….a bit different for me.
Sting and Blondie, live on Plymouth Hoe
On the famous Plymouth Hoe to see Roxanne performed live… there’s a wait eh.
Rebellion Festival 2023 – a punk feast
A feast of live punk bands as I whizz through four days in Blackpool watching 30 bands, with some photos to show for it.
Victorious Festival 2023
The annual pilgrimage to Southsea Common continues, and yet again it is the good value choice, with a few old diamonds and some new bands as well..booked blind for 2024 already.
