A tour that draws strongly on tracks from The Black Album, Machine Gun Etiquette and Strawberries, with Rat Scabies back on the drums, brings out one of my favourite Damned gigs of recent years. Tonight is my thirteenth time of seeing them, with a variety of line ups since Hammersmith Odeon in 1980.

Despite several gigs featuring previous incarnations of The Cult, over 42 years and one festival set, I am amazed that finally, aged 61, in 2024, this is my first indoor experience of a show by The Cult. It had to be done and what a belter it was.
